Roe & Company, Copper Halfpenny, 1790 (DH Cheshire 16)  Obv Bust of Charles Roe facing right. Around the perimeter CHARLES ROE ESTABLISHED THE COPPER WORKS 1758. Three buttons on coat. Edge of coat in a line with second limb of R of WORKS, and last button over space between R and K.   Rev A female seated with right hand upon a screw and left hand upon a cogwheel. MACCLESFIELD HALFPENNY above, 1790 below.  Head of the figure below the space between MACCLESFIELD and HALFPENNY. Six spokes to cogwheel. The top bar of the windlass points between the first and second N of PENNY, the lower bar between the Y and period. The head of the figure mid-way between the D and H.
