Parys Mine Company, Copper Halfpenny, 1788 (D&H Anglesey 309) Obv: A Druid's head facing left within an oak wreath. Thin wreath. Twenty-five acorns in wreath, twelve to left and thirteen to right. Single and double acorns in wreath. Single inside acorn to left above point of hood. Two spurs on left hand leaf stem. Inside spur on the main branch is above the acorn. Four acorns at tie; two single acorns both sides; Rev: A cypher P M Co; 1788 above. Around the perimeter THE ANGLESEY MINES HALFPENNY .  1 of date points to the first limb of the second N of HALFPENNY; second 8 aligns under the first limb of the H of THE. The apex of the second ascender of the M of PMCo points just to the left of the center of the 8 of date. A line drawn under the base of the 1 and second 8 of date intersects the first limb of the E of HALFPENNY.  I of MINES double punched; Edge: PAYABLE IN ANGLESEY LONDON OR LIVERPOOL
