Matthew Denton, (1771-1838) publisher and coin dealer, Hospital Gate and 139 St. Johns Street, West Smithfield. Along with Thomas Prattent, co-author of the Virtuoso's Companion and Coin Collector's Guide. This token was plated on page 130.

The three blockheads die was intended to have a bit of fun with contemporary token collectors. With two busts pictured, the inscription WE THREE BLOCKHEADS BE prompted the observer to ask who was the third blockhead. Mr. Denton would then respond “That would be thee.”
