John Westwood, the younger (1774 - 1850), medallist, die-sinker, and engraver, son of Obadiah Westwood and nephew of John Westwood, the elder. His name has been linked with various medals of a political nature including those of the Birmingham Association and Greatheed Petition although this is unconfirmed. What is known is that the younger Westwood was responsible for quite a few specious tokens and those made for collectors, including more than thirty varieties of Half Halfpennies that Dalton and Hamer distributed among eight separate counties.
