Parys Mine Company, Copper Halfpenny, 1788 (D&H Anglesey 329) Obv: A Druid's head facing left within an oak wreath. Thin wreath. Twenty-five acorns in wreath, twelve to left and thirteen to right. Single and double acorns in wreath. Single inside acorn to left above point of hood. On the right, the spur on the leaf stem points outward, nearly touching the spur from the main stem pointing inward.  The spur on the left leaf stem points outward. Four acorns at tie; two single acorns both sides; Rev: A cypher P M Co; 1788 above. Around the perimeter THE ANGLESEY MINES HALFPENNY .  1 of date points to the left of the second N of HALFPENNY; second 8 aligns under the first limb of the H of THE. The apex of the second ascender of the M of PMCo points to the left of the 8 of date; Edge: PAYABLE IN ANGLESEY LONDON OR LIVERPOOL 

Small die flaw opposite point of hood. Sharply struck, toned and faded red uncirculated. An exceptionally rare variety.
