Peter Kempson, South Wales Copper Farthing, 1793 obv A laureated bust facing right. Around the perimeter SOUTH WALES FARTHING, rev  the Prince of Wales' Crest upon a shield, between sprigs of flowers. PRO BONO PUBLICO 1793 ABOVE, edge plain, not in collar rounded (Atkins p. 262, 23a; D&H South Wales 26a)

Essentially as struck and with full original color, the reverse attractively toned.

Peter Kempson, (1755-1824), buttonmaker, later token manufacturer, St. Mary's Row, Birmingham, later Little Charles Street.
